Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment operation (skidsteer) in a safe and efficient manner
- Assist in clearing snow by hand from sidewalks, stairs, walkways, etc.
- Operate various tools such as shovels and backpack blowers.
- Work as team member to complete landscape projects efficiently and with quality workmanship.
- On call usually early morning 4 a.m. – 2 p.m. on snow days.
Skills and Abilities:
- Time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Carry a minimum of 30 lbs. and have good manual dexterity
- Ability to be flexible in a fast paced environment
- Ability to carry out strenuous physical tasks in various outdoor conditions including snow and cold
- Flexible working hours including Saturday and Sunday depending on snow.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver’s licence and safe driving record
Working Conditions:
- Love of working outdoors is essential and the willingness to work in bad weather conditions i.e. snow and cold weather.
- Ability to walk, stand and crouch for extended periods of time
- During the season is willing to work any day of the work week with extended hours on heavy snowfalls.
- Proper winter coveralls, jacket, gloves and boots are a must.
