Kerry Malakoff, Owner/Operator at Landscape Plus
In 1992 Kerry Malakoff saw an opportunity to help people enhance their outdoor lifestyle and Landscape Plus was founded. Kerry’s first job was working in the orchards of the Okanagan. The hard work and time in the outdoors proved to be the perfect foundation for her career path.
My staff and I pride ourselves on providing the best in services and care.
Kerry went on to study for four years at Olds College to become a Journeyman Landscape Gardener. This was followed by 10 years of work experience with Eagle Lake Nurseries. Here she learned how to run a landscaping business as well as gaining the experience of working with Alberta clients helping them navigate the four seasons for their garden and property needs.
Debbie Widdifield, Operations Manager at Landscape Plus
Debbie Widdifield joined the team at Landscape Plus in 1994. She currently holds the title of Operations Manager and is a Journeyman Landscape Gardener with a pesticide applicators license. She enjoys the challenge of bringing a landscape project together and seeing the beautification of homes and businesses through the construction of projects as well as regular lawn maintenance.
In her spare time, Debbie likes to golf and cook.
Nicole Screpnek, Office Manager at Landscape Plus
Nicole Screpnek has been a part of the Landscape Plus team on and off since 1997. She enjoys getting to know customers and suppliers alike. Always willing to help, Nicole would be happy to connect with you over the phone or through email.
Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in the community.
Amy Anderson, Construction Crew Leader at Landscape Plus
Amy’s green industry background is rooted in the Golf Course industry, where she has experience stemming from 2010.
A graduate of Olds College with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Amy majored in Golf Course Management. She holds a valid Alberta Pesticide license and is a Certified Environmental Professional through Audubon International.
Her love of the outdoors started in her childhood when she spent every day outside. She loves soccer, hiking, biking, fishing, camping and video games.
Josh Erl, Christmas Elf at Landscape Plus
Josh joined the Landscape Plus team in 2019. Prior to that, he worked in the landscape/gardening industry in Ontario and Alberta for the last 19 years. His move to Strathmore, Alberta in 2017 provided an opportunity to live closer to his family who love to celebrate Christmas! Growing up Josh loved to work in the yard with his grandma and then his mom. His love of yard work is most certainly in his genes. Josh is a graduate of the Kemptville Agricultural College, Ontario Horticulture Program as well as a Certified Personal Support Worker (Algonquin College, Ottawa). When not gardening with Landscape Plus or making merry as our very own Elf Josh can be found puttering in his own yard, doing volunteer work in the community, playing shinny with the boys or horseback riding with his partner, Krystal.
